Flourishing in One’s Call to Work: Talbot Faith Center & Helen Mitchell

Could our work have more of an earthly purpose than paying bills and living for the weekend? Is what happens in the local church sacred and what happens in the marketplace secular? What if work was God’s plan? What if our work provides for human flourishing? Christ calls us to true work, true community and true discipleship in the marketplace. In this video, Helen M. Mitchell will give pastors strategic paradigms for what could be and how to disciple people in their work life.

Discussion Questions:

  1. Of the call to true work, true community and true discipleship in the marketplace, which one creates the most excitement for you? Which one creates doubt and uncertainty? Why do you think that is?
  2. What one idea most impressed you from this video and why?
  3. Who do you need to help understand how they can flourish in their call to work?

Talbot Faith Center‘s goal is to be a resource to pastors, students, employees, business leaders, retired people, or stay at home parents. All of your work can have value and be part of your service to Christ.
